2007/8 – New operating system implemented worldwide and called AGF - total system including warehouse management, documentation, EDI, reporting and all finance elements required. 2007 – Sydney new facility & Indianapolis new facility - over 100% growth in areas. 2006 – Chicago & St. Louis representative offices opened. New PLC directors and board changes. 2005 – Due to continued growth we moved to larger premises in Hong Kong and Singapore, and also opened a Manchester office in the north of England/UK. NY office USA increased their capacity and operational enhancement. New office established in key manufacturing zone in China of Guangzhou.
2004 – Activroad division formed for European trucking & Singapore/Malaysia interlining. 2003 – Our LHR facility doubled in capacity. 2002 – Activair Shanghai opened. 1998 – Activair opened in Australia and New Zealand. Seafreight division opened worldwide, branded as Activsea. 1997 - The three owners of the company appoint a new board of directors (long-serving members of staff) for the UK operation, to take on the responsibility of the London Head Office – being the largest in the Activair PLC group - thus allowing the original board to concentrate their efforts on the development of the group as a whole. 1995 – Activair opened in Indianapolis, USA. 1990 – European distribution commenced to France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. 1988 – Activair opened in New York and Singapore. 1981 – Relationship with publishing industry established. 1980 – Activair’s first overseas office opened in Hong Kong. IATA licence granted for the UK. 1978 - Activair began trading in London, founded by three partners; Howard Evans – Chairman and Managing Director; Charles Thompson – Operations Director and; Michael Stinton - Financial Director.
